Rebecca Levinski is a board certified music therapist and the founder of Shoreline Music Therapy Services, LLC. Becky holds a Master's degree in Music Therapy from Augsburg University as well as a Bachelor's of Applied Science degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Becky has 5 years of experience working as a music therapist and has provided music therapy in a variety of settings with individuals of all ages. She has worked in hospice, hospital, assisted living, memory care and school settings. She has also provided music therapy services to individuals in-home and in residential units, as well as individuals and groups in Parkinson's Disease care, eating disorder recovery, and cancer care settings.
Becky has a strong passion to share the power of music with others. Along with personal experience and her own personal relationship with music, she believes music has the ability to heal, connect and empower others. Being a music therapist has provided Becky with the opportunity to be part of many inspiring, motivating and heartwarming moments with others.
She has provided relaxing music for a dying hospice patient while his wife softly sang goodbye, written songs with children in the hospital to help ease their fear of surgery, analyzed lyrics and songs with a cancer patient rediscovering their identity after a diagnosis, drummed out frustrations with a student who normally would have chosen physical aggression, and witnessed a mother hear her child with Autism say "momma" for the first time while singing songs together.
Along with providing music therapy services, Becky works as a K-2 music teacher in Barnum Elementary and enjoys offering music and wellness classes, workshops to educate others about music therapy and the use of music to enhance our health and well-being.
When she is not sharing her love for music and music therapy with others, she enjoys spending time with her husband Dane, their sons Jack (3), Evan (1), golden retriever, Ollie and their two cats, Matches and Luka.
